I had a few tiny spider veins on my face. I chose the Vein Institute for laser treatment. I am happy with the results and I had a lovely experience. Everyone was friendly and professional. I was very happy with the price- it cost significantly less than I expected.

I saw Dr. Kundu at the beginning of 2020 for a sclerotherapy treatment on a forehead vein. He told me the procedure was relatively safe as it was a saline solution. After the injection I felt a throbbing on my skull which he attributed to general swelling. It was by far the worst headache of my life. I was then in bed for two days straight with blurry vision and disorientation. The side of my face felt like it was on fire. Two days later I emailed the doctor to tell him it was infected. He claimed it wasn’t. The next day I assured him it was and that I knew what a steph infection looked like (had a couple in the past). He ignored my concerns again. The day after I went to the ER where I spent two days. The infection was so severe that just touching it sent searing pain up my head. It was oozing with pus and they thought it was MRSA (it wasn’t). The ER doctor couldn’t believe how “negligent” he was. I emailed him to let him know I was at the ER. Instead of emailing me back or calling me he had his receptionist call me and then disappeared entirely. As a result of his injection and failure to catch the injection early I’ve lost 1/5th of the hair on my head and have been left with a disfiguring scar on my scalp. I also have scarring and hyperpigmentation down the side of my face. Because the skin may have a level of necrosis a FUE transplant may not help. It is likely permanent and as you can imagine this is devastating. To date I’ve never heard from him to follow up or any sort of apology. I have met with an injury attorney to discuss the case and the lack of standard of care. Between future surgeries and treatments (which may not work) I will easily be out 15,000. I HIGHLY advise you to go elsewhere. It is obvious the injection wasn’t done properly (and I understand things happen) but in my opinion this is a doctor that will run for the hills when you’re in trouble. A horrifying experience.

Every request for their service is commitment to patient quality care. Renee will follow up after treatments with patients to further options available from Nurse Practitioner who provides personalized health care from the Vein Institute of Toronto. Renee will also remind patients in advance of upcoming appointments and communicates very well through emails. Cindy is one of Nurse Practitioner with an exceptional impressive calm approach each treatment I have had. Her expertise is confidence familiarity and judgement when performing every procedure. I feel secure when I have my procedure with Cindy as she preserves patient surety during treatment through her voice. She is kind friendly polite considerate lady. I anticipate going to the Vein Institute of Toronto because of Cindy's caring alleviating service. There is value in assessing this community service clinic location which is not outrageous in rates, yet luxury of home....is worth the financial investment in yourself and the people who provide this therapeutic business benefit. I would never hesitate in offering my commitment to these ladies by rewarding them in my patient review, because they deserve much more. Joseph S.
The staff and Dr. Sanjay Kundu were amazing. Facilities were very clean, professional and private and appointments were right on time, which was important as I had travelled a considerable distance. The follow up and support was also top-notch and the treatment has worked out great. I would recommend this facility and Dr. Kundu.
The staff was welcoming and very professional. I had excellent results and everything went smoothly and I was explained the process in detail. I would recommend this clinic to anyone.
